
Woman Who Shot Viral Coldplay Affair Video Defends Decision To Post It

Grace Springer filmed what she thought was an ungainly kiss cam second at a Coldplay live performance in Boston on Wednesday (July 16) and ended up igniting a viral storm that uncovered a pair of company executives in an obvious affair.
The 28-year-old from New Jersey captured Andy Byron—CEO of $1.3 billion software program firm Astronomer—and his Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot sharing an intimate second as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin directed the kiss cam towards them at Gillette Stadium.
Byron rapidly ducked behind a barrier whereas Cabot turned her face away, visibly startled. As the group reacted, Martin quipped, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy.” Springer posted the clip to social media, unaware of the fallout it might trigger.
“I had no idea who the couple was. Just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it,” she informed The U.S. Sun. “A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games… win stupid prizes. I hope their partners can heal from this and get a second chance at the happiness they deserve with their future still in front of them. I hope, for them, my video was a blessing in disguise.”
The video exploded in a single day. Springer stated it had just a few thousand views when she went to mattress. By the following morning, it had jumped to 7 million. As of Friday (July 18), it had surpassed 46 million views and 4.9 million likes.
The second turned a trending subject on-line, with many customers criticizing the pair for his or her public show.
