Peter Rosenberg Slams Kanye West Outside Cannes’ Louis Vuitton
While on trip in Cannes, Hot 97’s Peter Rosenberg dissed Kanye West for his previous feedback in opposition to the Jewish group.
On Tuesday (July 15), the media personality shared a clip talking on Ye’s early aspirations to run Louie by way of X, previously Twitter, with the tweet, “Lolll Kanye is such a failure.” Walking out of the Louis Vuitton storefront in France, Rosenberg proceeds to diss Ye whereas citing Louis Vuitton’s artistic administrators, Pharrell Williams and the late Virgil Abloh.

Kanye has to live with the fact that he called himself the Louis Vuitton Don. And Pharrell is literally now the Louis Vuitton Don. Like, when you shop at Louis Vuitton, Shop. Look, you know, maybe buy a bag for your wife, whatever the thing is, you’re walking around, you’re checking things out. And Pharrell is the actual. Louis Vuitton G. Virgil (Abloh) made it. Pharrell made it, Kanye is disappointing people everywhere. Oh, couldn’t happen to a better guy. Low life Jew hating piece of shit.”
Rosenberg — who’s Jewish — comment displays broader outrage following West’s repeated antisemitic feedback in 2022 and 2023, which led to widespread backlash, severed partnerships, and lack of public belief. Beyond antisemitism, Rosenberg has criticized West for his narcissism, erratic public habits, and what he views because the artist’s fall from cultural grace.
Ye’s longtime pal and the late designer Virgil Abloh was named Louis Vuitton’s menswear artistic director in 2018. Pharrell can be named artistic director in 2023 following the passing of Abloh. While Kanye had collaborated with Louis Vuitton in 2009, he was denied a gathering with the then-Vice President following the model and mogul’s relationship soured.
Kanye West has addressed his emotions in regards to the scenario with Louis Vuitton in numerous interviews through the years. The stress intensified in 2023 when Pharrell was appointed to a distinguished place on the model.
