Omarion Says Celibacy Responsible For His Mental Strength
Omarion opened up about his three-year celibacy journey and the way it formed his self-discipline and non secular connection.
Omarion revealed his three-year journey of celibacy and non secular self-discipline throughout a revealing dialog with Boyz II Men’s Shawn Stockman on the On That Note podcast, describing it as a formative chapter in his private development and self-mastery.
The B2K frontman didn’t maintain again as he mirrored on the interval of intentional abstinence, saying it was pushed by a want to realize management over his physique and thoughts.
“I did it for three years. Now I look back, I be like, sheesh,” he mentioned. “‘Cause I love women. I love women in all splendour, friendships, best friends, lovers, all that.”
Omarion defined the deeper connection he felt throughout that point, calling it a sort of psychological intimacy.
“I think that’s when I was being introduced to a form of telepathy. Feeling closer to someone even when they’re away,” he mentioned. “I just had the power to say no to anything. Like yo, if I don’t want to do something, I could stop today. And I think that that’s the power of discipline.”
This isn’t the primary time the R&B singer has opened up about this chapter in his life. He beforehand mentioned it on the “Know Thyself” podcast, recalling recommendation he acquired in his teenage years.
“‘Do you want to have a career? Or do you want to be out here making babies?’” he remembered being requested. “And we’re like, ‘Huh?’ You know 15, 16, we’re not thinking about that, but it’s a real thing.”
Now a father of two together with his ex, Apryl Jones, Omarion continues to discover his evolution via music. His upcoming album O2 is slated for launch in 2026.
