Lil Durk is dealing with new authorized problems after jail employees allegedly caught him with an Apple Watch behind bars, with federal prosecutors citing considerations about attainable witness tampering in his murder-for-hire case.

The 32-year-old Chicago rapper, whose authorized identify is Durk Banks, has been in federal custody since October 2024.

According to courtroom filings, authorities say he tried to destroy the unauthorized smartwatch after it was found, they usually now concern it could have been used for “unmonitored communication with witnesses.”
