Joey Bada$$ Blasts Columbia Records Over Album Delay

Joey Bada$$ is asking out his label, Columbia Records, for delaying the discharge of his upcoming album Lonely on the Top, and he’s not holding again. Frustrated and livid, the rapper let unfastened on Instagram, accusing the label of getting in the way in which and stalling a challenge that he says has been completed for over a month.

The Raising Kanan star didn’t mince phrases. “I’m signed to Columbia Records, but for the longest time I just ain’t been f***ing with them,” he stated. “All they do is get in my way.” According to Joey, this isn’t a matter of pattern clearance, options, or competing launch dates. The album is prepared, it’s Columbia that’s dragging their ft.

Joey admitted he prematurely introduced the August 1st launch date as a result of he was bored with ready. “I’ma just rip the Band-Aid off,” he advised followers. “Bad news… the album is not dropping on Friday. The album is not dropping Aug. 1st. Yep. I said it. I’m f***ing sorry. I’m ashamed, I’m f***ing disappointed.” He added, “This time it’s not my fault… My s**t got pushed back because the label pushed my s**t back.”

Joey’s anger boiled over in a profanity-laced Instagram rant that even included an obscene gesture towards Columbia. He emphasised that each one of his latest music has been launched independently on YouTube as a result of he refuses to let the label sluggish him down. “I’m way too f**king independent-minded and self-sufficient to sit around and wait for people who is not getting in line with the vision,” he stated.

Feeling like he’s always battling behind the scenes, Joey says he can’t even promise a brand new launch date. “This is such a bad representation of the new energy I’m on… at this moment in time I can’t even give y’all a date.”
