Jermaine Dupri Explains Choosing Usher Over A Chris Brown Collab

Jermaine Dupri has been liable for a number of the greatest data in Hip-Hop and R&B, however there may be one artist he has chosen to not share a studio with. The legendary producer says his choice has nothing to do with expertise and every thing to do with loyalty.
In a latest interview with Joe Budden, Dupri opened up about why he has not pursued a collaboration with Chris Brown. “I know everybody have this thing about Usher and Chris Brown,” Dupri defined. “I’m never gonna say Chris Brown, and I f**k with Chris Brown, but I wrote half of the Usher songs. Y’all want me to go against myself? Like, I’m not doing that.”
The producer has been a driving drive in Usher’s profession, and with long-running debates about who would win in a possible Verzuz battle, he doesn’t need to blur the traces. “Like, however you feel [is] going to happen in the Verzuz, that’s how y’all feel. These my songs. I wrote these songs, I’m going for my songs. I’m never going to go against myself,” he mentioned. “But at the same time, like I said, with being competitive, I’m also saying, I want Usher to stay Usher. I want Chris Brown to stay Chris Brown. Let’s fight it out.”
Dupri even joked about how highly effective the outcomes might be if he teamed up with Brown. “If I go in the studio with Chris Brown, I might f**k around and make Thriller and Usher would hate me for the rest of my life [laughs].”
He admitted he is aware of the chemistry is actual. “I would love to work with Chris Brown. I have worked with Chris Brown before. Bow Wow and Chris Brown got a No. 1 record [‘Shortie Like Mine’] … I know what’s gonna happen.” For now, although, Dupri chooses loyalty to Usher over the temptation of one other hit.
