The Grammy-nominated rapper partnered with acclaimed visible artist Dr. Fahamu Pècou on July 29 to debut “School of Hard Knocks,” a customized portrait unveiled on the Johnson Lowe Gallery.

The portray, which bought to Jeezy’s longtime mentor Jerry Thomas for an undisclosed quantity, will profit each Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation and the African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta.

For those of us who come through the margins, the school of hard knocks isn’t metaphor—it’s alma mater. And from its halls, we emerge not broken, but forged—brilliant, unbowed, and blooming.”

Radio host Frank Ski served because the evening’s auctioneer, serving to safe the sale that may now help two community-focused organizations. Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation, a 501(c)(3), works to uplift at-risk youth with applications in monetary literacy, entrepreneurship, well being and tech.
