Bun B On Way Mo Trill, Shares Pimp C Stories w/D’Angelo & International Players Anthem
Bun B stopped by to talk to Nessa about his upcoming album Way Mo Trill, out November 7th. He opened up about working with Monaleo and LaRussell and how special they both are. Bun also brought the producer Cory Mo and they also discussed the legacy of UGK, including stories about Pimp C and how Bun kept going when Pimp was incarcerated. He also told stories on he and Pimp C met D’Angelo in studio and how they chose International Players Anthem.
He reflected on the 20-year anniversary of his classic solo debut Trill and how his definition of success, legacy, and “Trill” itself has evolved. He also talked about his business moves, including Trill Burgers and building beyond music. Nessa requested about his longevity within the business, how he retains his marriage robust after 22 years, and the one factor he needs followers to take from this new album. Plus, Bun addressed Mannie Fresh’s remark that he was nearly a part of the Big Tymers and shared the recommendation that also grounds him many years into his profession.
