
Havoc Confirms Mobb Deep’s First Album Since Prodigy’s Death Is Finished & Coming Soon

Havoc confirmed a brand new Mobb Deep album titled Infinite is completed and options unreleased Prodigy vocals with manufacturing from The Alchemist.
Havoc has formally wrapped a brand new Mobb Deep album that includes unreleased vocals from the late Prodigy and manufacturing from longtime collaborator The Alchemist.
“We got a new Mobb Deep album on the way,” Havoc revealed, including that the undertaking contains “official” verses from each himself and Prodigy. “This s### is official. It’s done. S### is mixed, mastered, ready to go.”
The album, titled Infinite, marks the duo’s first full-length launch since 2014 and the primary since Prodigy’s passing in 2017.
It’s a part of Mass Appeal’s Legend Has It… sequence, curated by Nas, which celebrates Hip-Hop icons by means of unreleased and archival materials.
Havoc revealed how the undertaking got here collectively, crediting The Alchemist for serving to carry it to life.
“When we first started working on the album, I flew out to LA. Started f###### with Alchemist, because Alchemist probably got a ton of Prodigy verses,” he defined. “Had some s###. So it was only right that I teamed up with him, because, you know, Al’s family, so that’s how we did that s###.”
The Alchemist, who co-produced all the album with Havoc, teased the undertaking earlier this 12 months.
“They did so much work, it was insane,” he mentioned of Mobb Deep. “You could just peel back layers in Prodigy’s rhymes. He was ahead of his time.”
Alchemist continued, “P’s legend lives. He did more than the average person while he was here, and he even left behind a lot of stuff so we’re lucky enough to be working on a new Mobb Deep project.”
The Alchemist and Havoc’s inventive partnership dates again to the late Nineties, together with their work on Murda Muzik and Prodigy’s solo catalog. Infinite would be the first official Mobb Deep launch in a decade.
