Lil Uzi Vert is dealing with a recent lawsuit in Philadelphia after a Queens man claimed the rapper’s entourage violently attacked him in Manhattan for glancing at a Rolls-Royce.

Abdullah Ali filed the civil go well with in Philadelphia’s Common Pleas Court, alleging that Lil Uzi Vert, whose authorized identify is Symere Bysil Woods, and as much as 10 associates bodily assaulted him on Park Avenue on June 27, 2023.

Ali says he was “lawfully present” on a public sidewalk when he stopped to look at a luxurious car parked in a trailer marked with Money Team LLC branding.

“Defendants …. without provocation attacked, assaulted and/or battered plaintiff Abdullah Ali while he was observing a Rolls Royce vehicle that was parked in a Money Team LLC labeled trailer,” the lawsuit states.

Ali claims the beating left him with a dislocated shoulder that required surgery and several missing teeth. He is suing for assault, battery, negligence and emotional misery.



The case follows a earlier lawsuit filed in New York, which was tossed in June because of jurisdictional points. U.S. District Judge Louis L. Stanton dismissed the unique grievance.

Ali’s authorized staff, led by attorneys Corey Morgenstern and Michael Rose, now hopes the Philadelphia courtroom will hear the case.

They’ve additionally named Floyd Mayweather, his LLCs and 12 unnamed people—six allegedly tied to Mayweather’s Money Team—as co-defendants.

A spokesperson for the Atlantic Records artist denied any involvement. “Lil Uzi Vert doesn’t know Floyd Mayweather or have any form of affiliation with Mayweather’s Money Team and was not at the site of the alleged incident,” the rep mentioned.

No arrests have been made following the incident, and the NYPD has not filed legal fees.

With the earlier case already dismissed and no direct ties to Mayweather established, Ali could face an uphill authorized battle because the case strikes ahead in Philadelphia.
