Smokey Robinson Says Accuser Raided His Storage Unit

Smokey Robinson accused a lady concerned in his civil lawsuit of breaking into his storage unit and stealing invaluable objects.

Smokey Robinson has accused one of many nameless ladies suing him of unlawfully coming into his Los Angeles storage unit and stealing private belongings amid a high-stakes authorized showdown.

In a courtroom submitting, attorneys for the 85-year-old music legend claimed that Jane Doe 4, one among 4 former housekeepers suing Smokey Robinson and his spouse, Frances, for $50 million, used a key she allegedly saved after her employment ended to entry the unit on November 22 with out consent.

“Ms. Robinson was then shown security footage depicting three individuals at or inside the storage unit for approximately 40 minutes, including one whom she immediately recognized as Jane Doe 4, seen removing boxes and other property of the Robinsons into a vehicle,” the submitting acknowledged, in response to Billboard.

Robinson’s lawyer, Christopher Frost, referred to as the incident a “brazenly criminal act” and claimed the lady took “thousands of dollars’ worth of personal property.” The authorized workforce is now looking for a restraining order towards her.

The newest growth provides gasoline to an already explosive case. Back in May, four women filed a civil suit accusing Robinson and his wife of sexual battery, assault and false imprisonment over a span of 12 years.

Smokey Robinson has denied all allegations and responded with a $500 million counterclaim, accusing the ladies of slander, emotional abuse and monetary exploitation of an elder.

Attorney John W. Harris, who represents the plaintiffs, pushed again on the brand new claims. He stated Jane Doe 4 “never visited” the storage facility after her employment ended.

The authorized saga has continued to develop. Last month, two extra former staff, a valet and one other housekeeper, joined the lawsuit, bringing the full variety of plaintiffs to 6.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has launched a felony investigation into the allegations, although no fees have been filed thus far.
