Netflix is taking viewers again to Hillman College with the announcement of a sequel to A Different World, the beloved Nineteen Eighties sitcom that helped redefine tv’s portrayal of Black faculty life.

The streaming large confirmed the information in a press release, declaring, “We’re officially heading back to Hillman! Introducing the cast of A Different World, a new sequel series, coming soon to Netflix.”

The revival will reunite key inventive forces from the unique collection, mixing nostalgia with a contemporary perspective. Acclaimed producer and director Debbie Allen will return as each director and government producer, teaming up with Felicia Pride, identified for her work on Grey’s Anatomy and Bel-Air, who will function showrunner and government producer.
